I had the privilege of attending the grand opening of ModCloth’s first brick-and-mortar store in San Francisco earlier this summer, the ModCloth FitShop, on Fillmore Street. The store is filled with samples of clothes, shoes and accessories from their online site. I found this INCREDIBLY exciting because I’ve always known ModCloth has an online-only retailer. When the ModCloth team contacted me about their store-opening and collaborating, I felt extremely lucky to be part of this new concept.
ModCloth is a brand that truly helped me discover my sense of individual style growing up. The selection was always different than what i saw in the mall, and this helped me learn how to dress for myself instead of other people. The vintage-inspired clothing helped me feel unique in the way I dressed. ModCloth truly brings back so much nostalgia, and I love that I get to work with them now as a fashion blogger.
For this collaboration, ModCloth invited me in their store to experience a ModStylist appointment. I was partnered with my own stylist, shoutout to Ablah, for being incredibly patient and an amazing listener! This was my first time working with a stylist that wanted to pull looks for me. Given I am a fashion blogger, I do have strong opinions about what I like and Ablah quickly understood my vision. I appreciated that she took the time to understand my style by looking at my Instagram and asking pertinent questions. I told her I was looking for a business casual look that could easily transform to dinner appropriate, as well as something a little bit wild. There were about 5 different complete looks that we put together that I loved, but the below looks made the final cut.
I highly recommend scheduling your own ModStylist appointment here. They help you customize looks based on any special events you have coming out, so it is also a great present for a friend that might need a special outfit for a birthday/celebration. Would love to hear if you guys try this service and more about your experience!
