Guide to Maui for a Girlcation

My first trip to Hawaii felt surreal. I left San Francisco late on a Saturday evening with three amazing girlfriends I've made since moving to the West Coast two years ago. We all met at Adobe right after college and planned the trip as part of Adobe's "Company-Wide Summer Shutdown." We chose Hawaii because of it's obvious reputation, proximity to California, and it's always been on my bucket list as an East Coaster. As a self-professed control-freak, I stacked our 6-day itinerary with cool hikes, cute cafes, and plenty of beach time with insta-worthy views. You can see the Google Map I created for our trip here "Ultimate Guide to Maui - Google Map" if you are looking for some Maui inspo.

Our plans took a little bit of a turn, however, when I tried to go surfing for the first time at Kihei Cove. Long story short - I got a little tangled up with the coral after riding my first wave and had to be rushed to the ER. Five stitches and a pair of crutches later I hobbled my way back to our Airbnb in Lahaina. This happened on the second full day of our trip so it limited some of the hikes I originally planned on The Road to Hana. However, the girls and I still managed to have an incredible time. There's truly nothing like a girlcation... and in a tropical location it's even better. See below for some of my highlights and must visit spots!
